Centre for Quantum Technologies at NUSI am a frequent visitor to the Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) of the National University of Singapore (NUS). So far I have visited Singapore five times:
The aim of this page is to collect useful stuff for people visiting Singapore, especially those visiting CQT, and for listing some helpful information.
TransportIf you don't have an EZ-Link card yet, get one as soon as you arrive in Singapore. It is by far the most convenient way to pay for busses and subways/trains (MRT), and fares will be cheaper too when paying with this prepaid card. EZ-Link cards can be bought at any subway station, and you can also recharge them there. All busses and subway gates are equipped with electronic card readers that deduct the correct amount from your card. When riding the bus you need to hold the card to the card reader both during boarding and alighting, otherwise you may get overcharged for your journey.
